2. What are the legal requirements for Mondo Gate Wallet?

   Your wallet is compliant to all current EU regulations and requirements of the European Regulation on Crypto Assets (Mica). With the new regulations, we as a provider of crypto services are obliged to meet strict requirements for the protection of customer wallets. This includes, among other things, the video identification process, which clearly authenticates you as the owner of your wallet.

3. What makes the Mondo Gate crypto Mastercard debit card so special?

   The Mondo Gate Krypto Mastercard will soon allow you to pay worldwide with all your digital assets and your crypto currencies. Regardless of whether the merchant, café or online store accepts crypto or not. You decide how you pay – with Coins or in classic currency.

4. What crypto assets can be stored in Mondo Gate Wallet?

   As of December 2022, you can safely store Bitcoin, Ethereum, Matic, Binance Coin, Tether, Mondo Community Coin, Mundum Coin and the USDFX Stable Coin in your Mondo Gate wallet.

   Due to the multichain architecture, it is basically possible to store Bitcoin, all ERC20 tokens as well as all tokens based on EVM compatible blockchains (e.g. Binance smartchain, Polygon blockchain, Tether blockchain).
   These features and thus more tokens will be released in the course of 2023.

5. How much does Mondo Gate cost?

   The Mondo Gate Lite plan with account, card and wallet costs € 9.90 per month. With the annual subscription for €108.90, you get one month for free.

   Mondo Gate is thus cheaper than 90% of all home insurance policies or a bank safe deposit box.

6. What happens if I lose my seedphrase?

   The loss of your own seedphrase means in most cases a total loss of your crypto assets. This cannot happen to you at MondoGate. We have put special focus on eliminating exactly this risk from the beginning.
   Through your registration on the Mondo Gate platform and the certified video identification procedure from webID, we can authenticate you as a customer and owner of your wallet at any time.
   To access your coins, you only need your username and password – Mondo Gate takes care of everything else for you.

7. Where are the coins stored, where are the wallets hosted?

   Your coins are always stored on the blockchain. Mondo Gate keeps your personal key (private key) for you, which in turn gives you access to your coins.
   The hosting, i.e. the technical provision of the services, takes place at tangany GmbH – a crypto custodian certified by BaFin (German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority).

8. How do I enable two-factor authentication?

   Two-factor authentication (2FA) is one of the security features of Mondo Gate Wallet. Wie der Name es schon sagt, authentifizierst Du dich nicht nur mit einem Faktor, sondern mit 2 Faktoren, um auf Dein Wallet zuzugreifen. Through the one-time password sent to your cell phone, we can make sure that it is really you who is logging in to your wallet.
